Introduction
Hello Everyone!
Breath & Balance derives from holistic, ancient care practices or techniques that are believed to offer beneficial results for the body and mind. Prana is a relative descriptor for life force of the universe, the vital force that sustains all life in accordance with its Eastern care practices and arts.
Breath practice is believed to develop connectedness to energetic, physiological, and spiritual bodies’ presence.
Benefits from breath practice may be alleviation of stress, possible assistance with slight changes in mood, and reduction of anxiousness (calming one’s state). Also, because of the wholeness of the physiological process of breath practice, it may assist in clearing the mind, immunity support by strengthening the internal self, and strengthening an individual overall by aiding in becoming well-grounded and peaceful.
Additionally, breath practice may assist in the overall support of the nervous system.
Breathing techniques (breathing exercises) or what is commonly referred to as Breathwork or Breath Awareness in the yoga community has become more widely discussed and practiced due to the experiences and benefits of those who utilize them.

This site, text, activity, and community are not substitutes or a definitive to replace physicians' care. Connie engages in breath practice and pranayama, which assist her with maintaining balance. She has received training through professional guidance from India and worldwide institutions. This community is structured as a beginner's introduction to breath practice and is not an in-depth course on step-by-step, how-to breath practice. Connie suggests that an individual receive in-depth experiences in their local area under the supervision of a trained professional first, so important paperwork and discussions can be obtained. Breath practice/Breathwork/Breath Awareness, or Pranayama is engaged with or after other yoga processes, especially meditation (which may be preferred by some individuals during the early morning before the day becomes more active), particular mudras for assistance with increased effectiveness, after yoga asanas... If some types of breathing techniques (breathing exercises) are conducted improperly, they may cause abnormal discomfort, lightheadedness, or dizziness. Some yoga practices may not be conducive for those who are pregnant, experience intestinal issues, have hypertension (high blood pressure), or cardiovascular complications. It is recommended that individuals consult with their physicians before engaging in any practices if the prior or additional medical concerns are present. This community may be of the most interest to those curious about becoming yoga educators one day or anyone that would like to know more about introductory principles (basic principles)+.
